Eu sou um Louco ponto final paragrafo!!!

Estava, quer dizer, continuava cheio de dores de costas mas lá decidi ir a La Toja para jogar a Etapa 4 deste Torneio. Fiz isso pois achava eu, que estava a jogar um bom Poker e precisava de jogar mais live para poder evoluir ainda mais. Meh ... presunção e água benta cada um toma a quer !!! Sinceramente também fui picado, pois acho eu que não tenho nada a provar ninguem, contudo ha sempre aquelas linguas que só sabem criticar. Então cheio de dores, e quem esteve em La Toja sabe que isso é verdade, lá me fiz a estrada. Parei em todas as áreas de serviço pois não aguentava a puta das dores e só pensava " oh meu deus como é que eu vou jogar ". Em conversa com outro jogador, o Esmone, disse-lhe : " pah estou a pensar sinceramente em dar meia volta e voltar para o Porto se nem conduzir consigo como vou poder jogar a FT!! " Ele riu-se e disse mas se vais jogar a FT porra não pares e vai. Dito e feito !!! Cheguei 5 minutos antes do inicio de torneio :S pois uma viagem que normalmente demora 1:40 demorou quase 3horas :)



Cheguei e começei logo a ouvir bocas por causa do meu andar :s ( apaneleirado por sinal ) mas não conseguia andar melhor e lá fui para a mesa! Aí tive a primeira boa noticia do dia. Ao contrario do que normalmente acontece eu calhei numa mesa cheia de bons jogadores onde era raro existir um jogada sem uma 3bet. A agressividade da mesa encantava-me e eu decidi explorar o facto de existirem bons jogadores nela. Jogadores que olhavam a imagem, posição e outros aspectos fundamentais num jogo de poker. Queria dobrar e arriscar pois na primeira hora dava para fazer um rebuy. Contudo o facto de ter roubado alguns pots em posição fez com qu a minha stack chegasse as 7mil fichas tornando muito dificil encontrar spots que me permitissem dobrar sem o risco perder o pot e nao poder fazer o rebuy.

O Periodo de rebuys acabou e lá fiz eu o Addon tradicional :) pensei eu : bem pelo menos gastei menos 50Euros do que o normal. Fomos para intervalo e quando cheguei esperei aproveitar a imagem tight que tinha na mesa. OH MEU DEUS EU TIGHT!!!! Mas foi verdade !!! Estava com felling que ia ser um daqueles dias em que não ia ter mãos por isso iria ter que jogar de forma tight para conseguir ter o respeito necessário para poder roubar.

O mal de ter uma imagem tight é que esta permite que a nossa BB esteja sempre a ser atacada. Contudo e como os raises agora nao eram muito significativos devido ao tamanho das Blinds decidi que sempre que tivesse uma mão minimamente jogavél iria defender a minha BB. Não tinha muita margem de manobra pois a minha stack era de 11,5k contudo lá decidi seguir essa estratégia. E logo na primeira vez que o faço aconteçe isto:

O Manuel Piñeiro em utg+1 resolve fazer um raise para 500 com as blinds a 150-75. Todos os jogadores respeitaram mas eu resolvi pagar na BB com Jc Qc easy:)

Turn 8c Aqui tenho nutts e nem sequer penso em fazer slow play a espera que ele fizesse uma bet. Resolvi fazer um pouco de trash talk que eu tanto amo e betei 2000 ao que ele respondeu com all-in. Eu fiz instant call para ver o 98off dele.
O river foi a 5h e puff elimino o meu 1º jogador!

Dobro, protegi a minha blind e a primeira vez que mostro o meu jogo após bet tenho nutts. Escusado será dizer que apartir dai decidi que ia começar a Roubar como um cão pois não só tinha fichas para isso como tambem tinha uma boa imagem na mesa.

O primeiro grande roubo da noite dasse contra o Marcos Arias. Eu conheço muito bem o Marcos dos solverdes e de La Toja e inclusivamente tenho um tell dele. Ele sabe bem disso não é por nada que ele começou a usar cascol nos torneios. Sim foi otário o suficiente para lhe dizer o tell. Mas ganhei um amigo e não ha nada mais importante na vida!!! Contudo o Marcos desta vez não levou cascol e eu resolvi aproveitar isso. Então numa mao em que ele raisa em MP eu resolvi dar call as blinds foldaram e ficamos nos os dois a brincar ( salvo seja :S ).

River Kh ele betou 2600 e eu fui all-in que era igual a stack dele e aponto para o pescoço dele e digo Marcos hoje nao vieste com cascol !!! Ele sorriu e foldou. Eu mostrei AToff. E recebi o aplauso dos restantes jogadores. Para a maioria dos jogadores fazer um bluff é standart, coisa que eu concordo mas tentem fazer isso em La Toja e depois percebem o porque dos aplausos. Com esta jogada sabia que não ia poder roubar mais em all-in pois podia receber um call e queria esperar pela mão que não tinha tido desde o inicio do dia.

Contudo decidi aumentar o meu range de maos para raisar e ficar um pouco mais loose pois tinha 34k de fichas contudo aconteceu-me uma jogada surreal.

Faço uma bet de 900 no CO com Ks Js quando as blinds estao 300-150. A SB decidiu pagar. Este jogador era a meu ver o pior jogar da mesa e tal viria a confirmar-se.

turn 6s aqui tenho top 2 pair e flush draw a sb faz check eu beto 3000 e ele vai all-in de mais 7000 fichas. Sinceramente a unica mão para ele fazer isso era trio de 3 ou ainda mais doente trio de 6 pelo que nao acreditei na primeira pois achei que como ele era mau tinha ido logo all-in pos flop e nao teria tomates para dar call pos flop com 66. Entao poderia tb estar em flush draw ou ter AJ ou AK mas se tivesse estas duas ultimas maos probavelmente tinha feito re-raise pre-flop. Decido pagar e fico chocado quando vejo A3off. Optimo penso eu. Até ver o A a bater no river. OMG perdi um pot de 24000 fichas contra um donk.

Como alguem Henrique IV rei de inglaterra disse " até nos momentos negativos temos que aproveitar os aspectos positivos" e foi isso que fiz. Não desanimei e resolvi trashar um pouco com ele ... sinceramente acho que passei dos limites, alias como normalmente faço, mas a lição de poker que dei sei que entrou na mente dos outros jogadores e era a eles que essa mesma lição se destinava.

A mão não apareceu e eu resolvi voltar a fazer das minhas contra o chip leader da mesa. Ele raisou 750 em UTG+2 e eu em utg+3 faço-lhe uma 3bet com 96off para 1900. A imagem que tinha na mesa sabia que na pior das hipoteses ele me ia fazer call e nunca me iria 4betar.

turn 2s ele torna a checkar e eu resolvi betar 8k ficando com 7k para tras o minimo aconselhavel para fazer um comeback se a coisa corre-se mal. Ele pensou e resolveu foldar AQ mostrando a mesa dizendo que eu tinha AK. Eu disse bom fold e mostrei a minha 69off. Aqui tenho a 2 ovação da noite. O respeito que a mesa me tinha era brutal. Tenho a certeza que se fosse all-in como fui com o arias ele me pagava. Mas o 2 barril disparado e deixando apenas 7k para tras deu uma imagem de força brutal. Bem estava de volta com 25k.

A mesa onde eu estava era a mesa da morte nela " morreram " 12 jogadores e a posição 10 era fatidica pois dos 12, 7 morreram aí.

Entretanto a mesa fecha e lá vou eu para uma nova mesa. Nesta sinceramente não me sinto nada bem... A tipica mesa de LA TOJA com 3 gamblers que fazem bets de 6 / 7 BB que tanto podem ter draws cards como um par baixo como AK ou AA e os tradicionais pots jogados com 6limps... Grrrrrrrrr
lá ando eu num carrocel ora deixo para as 16k ora subo para as 24. Até que eu faço uma bet depois de 2 limps com ATs e um dos velhos regulares de lá resolve ir all-in de 55k.

Aqui a minha decisão foi muito simples. Num torneio nos vamos ter que correr mais cedo ou mais tarde e pelo que conhecia do jogador pareceu-me uma tipica corrida pois aquele movimento dele era de par medio baixo. Os limpers foldam e eu resolvo dar call. Qual negranu BINGO.

e vamosssssssss para a chip lead. Como não me sentia confortavel na mesa resolvi tirar o pé do acelarador. Estava confortavel em termos de fichas e aquela mesa não dava para roubar pois sabia que ia levar calls então resolvo esperar por uma mão.

Essa não chegou e termino o dia com 43000 fichas defendendo sempre a minha BB. No meio apenas uma história interessante para contar. A minha dealer "mão negra", uma dealer com a qual nunca ganho um mao veio para a mesa. Eu já tinha tido um desentendimento com ela na primeira mesa onde estive pois o arias fez um raise de 600 e o jogador na posição seguinte fez raise para 1000 e eu disse que ele nao podia fazer aquilo e que tinha que raisar pelo menos para o dobro e como ele nao anunciou apenas colocou a ficha aquilo tinha que ser call. Ela aceita o raise e diz que ele tem que por mais 200 fichas . Eu fico doido e atiro a minha mao para muck o director do torneio viu isso e disse que aquilo era call. Aí eu fiquei doido pois disse que tinha dado call e que só nao dei pois o nao tinha posição para o arias mas como já tinha deitado a mao para muck nada a fazer...
Ela entra na mesa e de novo comete um erro. um jogador acabado de entrar no butão recebe cartas. Eu mando parar a jogada e digo que ele nao pode jogar esta mao pois tem posição sobre todos os jogadores. Ela diz que pode ... o jogador no butão tb só que desta vez eu mando chamar o director do torneio que estava longe e não viu o que se passou! O director do torneio da-me razao e o homem fica possesso começa a mandar vir comigo e mostra AA e pufff Sai da sala. Moral da história se fosse noutra mesa e eu não estivesse lá...



DAY 2



Era quase impossivel ter um run de cartas tão má como aquela do dia anterior. E com 32 jogadores em prova aí de mim se ia canar para chegar ao $. O 15 lugar dava 151euros e isso é ridiculo por isso decidi que ia ser agressivo mal o mudasse de mesa pois a minha ia ser a 1º a fechar.

A mesa fechou e vou para uma nova mesa acompanhado com outro tuga o Sarmento jr. O Sarmento jr evolui brutalmente desde da ultima vez que joguei com ele. Conheci o Sarma jr no Solverde 1 em janeiro e fiquei com uma pessima imagem em termos de poker dele. Muitos defeitos (lacks) no seu jogo... Desta vez que tive em 2 mesas com ele achei que ele jogou sempre bem tomando sempre as decisoes certas mas teve azar nas corridas. Perdeu 2 corridas comigo que me levam a aumentar a minha stack para os 85k

A primeira é tradicional o Sarmento faz no CO raise para 8.000, e eu na BB faço reraise all in das minhas 34.000 fichas. O Sarmento faz call e vamos a showdown:

O flop 953 rainbow mantém Sarmento na frente. Mas um A no turn deu-me a vantagem necessária, que é confirmada com um 7 no river.

O Sarmento fica em dificuldades com apenas 12.000, enquanto que eu subo para às 70.000 fichas!

A segunda tambem é standart pois na volta a seguir o Sarma vai allin de 10k e eu dou call na BB +8k de fichas. Vamos a showdown:

Apartir daqui decidi dar calor como o zumy normalmente diz. Elimino 2 jogadores Um com AQ vs A6 em que a bord nao tras um 6. E outro que era um jogador noruegues muito bom o Petter M Gundersen. Ele decidiu ja perto da bolha ir all-in com JJ e eu dei call outra vez com AKs ( tive que colocar + 21k easy )

e eu fico com 170000 e com uma confiança brutal. Pois ainda nao tinha perdido uma corrida.

Ainda por cima tinha o meu "amigo" na mesa, um jovem que raisava muito light e que me eleminou da ultima vez que estive em La Toja. Não quiz por uma questao de EGO envolver-me com ele. Esperei sempre o meu spot. Mas ele continuava a dar calor. E a mostrar quando ia a showdonw os seu 73off Q7off JKs etc. Até que na ultima mão do dia antes do jantar ele resolve fazer o seu raise standart para 20k blinds 8k - 4k ante 1000 deixando 38k para tras toda a gente folda ate mim e eu vejo AKs resolvi ir all-in todos foldaram e ele dá instant call quando eu esperava ver AT ou AQ ou AJ na melhor das hipoteses vejo AA. Perdi, mas quase que fazia seq no river ( obviamente foi a mão negra a dar a mao, tinha chegado a mesa ) e la fui jantar com 115000fichas deixando o maniaco com 130000. O mais sick é que se ele tivesse qualquer uma das maos acima descritas dava call.

A partir daí resolvi esperar o meu spot e deixei a minha imagem de sammy farah para ele!!



e ele aproveitou!!! raisava todas as mãos !!! dava call a all-ins com qualquer duas e em duas rondas passou para 220000fichas enquanto eu desci para as 105000fichas. Sabia que tinha um maniaco e tinha que esperar um spot alem do mais ele estava picado comigo e eu queria aproveitar esse facto!!! Entretanto a bolha arrebentou e eu resolvi continuar a espera... Estava a desesperar pois o manico ia crescendo e eu ia sendo devorado pelas blinds o pior é que sabia que ele pagava tudo e quanto mais decia mais eram as probabilidades de levar call. Entao decidi roubar numa mao em que ele nao raisou. e lá consegui respirar mais um pouco.

O jogador com menos fichas resolve ficar sit out o que a meu ver é doentio. Ainda por cima no sorteio ficou no botão o que colocou uma pressao extra sob quase todos os jogadores pois ser eleminado 1º que o sit out é foda!

Eu nao me deixei ficar e respondo a um raise com all-in. A que levo call.

O nosso amigo maniaco cai pouco depois com o seu tradicional A desta vez com o 9 de kicker contra um Aj e ficamos 3.

Começamos o HU praticamente iguais mas eu começo a imporme e passo de 1 / 1 em termos de fichas para 2 / 1 a reviravolta da-se quando num flop com 559 eu beto 100k e ele vai all-in de mais 220k eu dou call com 96off e ele mostra 54off.

Aqui eu fico em desvantagem 1 para 2 em termos de fichas. Sem medo nenhum e confiante numa recuperação!!! coisa que começa a acontecer até que perco uma corrida que me colocaria de novo com uma grande vantagem de 1 para 3

No final fico orgulhoso pelo meu torneio. Pelo Poker que pratiquei e por ter jogado sempre para ganhar. Mesmo quando me colocaram a hipotese de chop eu RECUSEI. Sempre fui contra chops. Não jogo pelo $ mas pelo prazer e pela adrenalina de ser 1º e receber o que é merecido a esse Lugar. Fui 2º mas não vai demorar muito a ganhar um torneio. Depois do ticket para o main event ganho em fevereiro. Depois do 13º Lugar em chaves. Este 2º lugar prova a minha evolução Live. Esta a ser um Ano fantastico e a Boa noticia é que ainda esta a começar. Obrigado a todos pelo apoio. Não quero citar nomes mas voçes sabem que estão no meu coração.

Horse tournament 3rd place and 1st place in the

I´m trying to get better and better in all type of poker. Horse combines them all. Limt holdem, PLO H/L, Razz, 7cardStud, 7cardStud HL.
I playing low buy-in tournaments because i´m still learning and I not great in razz. I know if I want to learn I should play with better opponents but i think there are good players in low buy-in tournments. My last hand was in POL H/L I hit the nutts on the flop but he hit his full on the river sick.





If I won that pot I would be chip leader it was a 255,6k pot. well gg me but like some guy yesterday said I´m a nobody in poker I guess He is better. Thx GOD I can speak WTF I want in my blog.




Yesterday I finish 1st in other tournament. It the champions tournament in PKS that gave me the opportunity to play step 2 of this tournment next sunday. IF I finish top 60 :) I really think it´s not difficult I will enter stage 3 and if I won it I will get a pack to Barcelona EPT. Alot of IF´s but I want it.

This time i will write in Portugue I´m to tired to do it in english but I will translate late.

Quando tudo começa mal e acaba pior!

Acordei, 10:10am e disse para mim : "OQC estou com febre... ", pior é que estava mesmo... A constipação do dia anterior tinha virado febre, tirei a temperatura e tinha 38,5º. Liguei ao Canossa e disse-lhe que não ia levar o carro e se ele me podia dar boleia pois não estava em condições de jogar.
O meu maninho disse logo que sim e lá fomos para chaves.

Em chaves, fomos almoçar ao café restaurante de um amigo meu o Sr. Pastel :) publicidade gratis hummm... o pior era a febre que nao passava e pior tinha aumentado para 38,9º.

O torneio começou e sinceramente estava a passar-me !!! quem me conheçe sabe que eu falo imenso nas mesas, tento encontrar weak spots e fazer amizades durante o periodo de rebuy estive calado mesmo com 2 amigos na mesa o mouraco e o figurão.

Tentei dobrar mas puff fiz rebuy e terminei o periodo de rebuy com 4700fichas que nojo :p

Ha já me esquecida de um promenor importante pela 1º vez e também devido a febre / medicamentos estive o torneio todo a AGUA :S . Muitos de voçes podem não perceber a piada mas eu se beber um pouco fico mais loose e consigo ter um trash talk na mesa melhor, além do mais, consigo simular uma pseudo bebedeira o que faz que outros jogadores me substimem.

Após rebuy o jogo é sempre outro e lá fui eu para as 9.700 com o addon. Tinha jogo iniciado e o mouraco faz raise utg para 600 com as blinds a 200-100. Um jogador em Mp1 faz call eu vejo AsTs e tambem faço call. Todos os outros jogadores foldaram.

o mouraco pot bet de 2100 o mp1 folda e eu começo a pensar...
conheço bem o mouraço e por isso sei que ele para fazer aquela aposta utg e a cbet ( pot bet )só pode ter 2 mãos QQ ou KK. Ele vira-se para mim e diz que mostra se eu foldar. Aqui tive a certeza que tinha feito a leitura certa e resolvi dar o call pois nesta fase do torneio tanto faz ter 9.100 como ter 7000 e sabia que um A ia parar as bet dele e com um T tinha nutts. Dou o call

ele ficou nervoso quando eu dei o call e como não soube o que fazer fez allin ( ele tinha cerca de 18k pois esteve em grande no periodo de rebuys )
obviamente eu dei instant call com nutts.


o river nao veio a Q que lhe dava nutts a ele e vamossss para as 20000 certinhas. Roubo aqui, roubo acolá sempre a jogar um bom poker lá vou eu para as 45000 fichas e a mesa foi fechada. Nesta mesa onde estive destaco 4 jogadores.
- Um jogador de guimaraes muito tight / agressivo que eu eleminei. Estava a minha esquerda
- um que não sei o nome e que estava 2 lugares a minha esquerda. fez-me lembrar certos jogadores. deu call ao all-in de outro jogador QKs vs AA ganhou com cor ( o call ao all in do outro jogador era de mais de 2/3 da sua stack ) + 22 vs AK também all in pre-flop call ( agora só de metada da sua stack 20k ) + e um must contra o jogador mais tight ROCK da mesa quando este beta ele faz all-in o tight folda e mostra JJ ( :S ROCKKKKKKK ) ele mostra AJ. Uma coisa impressionante!!! Muito mau. O tigh rock na brincadeira disse que nao ia arriscar as suas 22k contra 2 over KQ LOL
- Um espanhol que fez FT que gostava de bluffar no turn
- e o mini durr que era o bully da mesa e quando esta fechou tinha 70k



Antes de mudar de mesa ainda fomos jantar. Infelizmente não consegui disfrutar do fantastico jantar pois estava que nem podia. Comi apenas o indespensavel para tomar a 2 dose de comprimidos mas deu para reparar que o jantar em chaves é de longe o melhor de todos os SOLVERDES.

Na nova mesa tinha imensa malta conhecida que passado 2 maos perguntaram logo se estava bem... :S calado e a beber agua com cara de doente. MEH tinha lá o amigo do galinhas carregado com 90k, o JJbluffer, o Guyzox, o Joka, o gajo que ganhou o torneio, o xico e nao me lembro do nome dos outros dois jogadores.

resolvi pressionar as BB... a primeira x steal e vamoss ...
na 2x as blinds tinham mudado e eu nem sequer tinha reparado por isso em vez de fazer a standart 2,75-3,25 BB bet faço uma mini bet de 4,2k quando as blinds estavam a 2000-1000 ante 100. A SB folda mas a BB ( o amigo do galinhas ) reparou que eu me enganei a fazer a bet e resolveu 3betar a minha bet para 12k. Eu pensei e achei que aquele move só podia significar 2 coisas :
a) re-steal
b) tinha algum jogo tipo JJ ou QQ
achei pela pergunta dele que seria mais o a) e faço all in de 45k ao qual ele faz instant call. Foi aí que eu reparei que era o b). aqui resolvi ficar um pouco mais tight nao roubar tanto pois ia haver jogadores shorts que iam all in e eu queria partir sempre a frente.

Tive uma trash talk com um jogador que estava no butão quando eu era BB e disse-lhe que se ele raisa-se mais a minha BB ia levar um push ou uma 3bet dependia se estivesse muito ou pouco forte

mas na blind seguinte ele resolve voltar a betar no butao para 6k a sb fold e eu olho para o meu jogo e vejo 99. pergunto quantas ele tem para tras ele responde 40k e eu faço 3bet para 19k ... ele conta e reconta a stack e anuncia o all-in de +21k eu faço instant call pois obviamente estava comitted +21k para um pot de 84k.
ele disse antes de mostrar as cartas : "é o vazio " e eu respondi que nunca iria fazer fold depois de ter feito aquele raise no flop e principalmente com a minha stack"

quando eu vi o JQ perguntei-lhe porque ele nao largou facil aquela mao ele disse que pensou que eu podia foldar pois podia estar no bluff devido ao facto de lhe ter dito que se ele raisasse eu ia 3betar.

Pensei eu que agora ia poder descansar e ir para o quarto dormir ... nao podia estar mais enganado :S o pessoal perguntou se queria ir comer qualquer coisa e como nao tinha jantado bem e faltava apenas 1 hora para tomar os proximos medicamentos resolvi ir comer qualquer coisa. MISTAKE
Ao sair do restaurante 3:00 o carro nao pegou devio ao problema electrico no carro do canossa, coisa standart pois isso já lhe tinha acontecido antes ... :S lá adormeçemos os 2 no carro e eu acordo com o jovem a ligar o carro as 5:00 todo partido das costas a melhor noticia é embora ainda estivesse constipado já não tinha febre.

Chegados ao hotel fomos para o quarto. O hotel é 5 estrelas fantástico!!! dormi relativamente bem até acordar com o canossa em cima de mim a ressonar so sickkkkkkk

O 2 dia começou e eu tinha, na minha mesa, aquele que para mim é um dos putos que joga melhor poker em portugal o ESMONE - que terminou o 1º dia com chip leader.

Na 2 jogada tenho AA e estou utg+1. o Fradocas em utg fez all-in de 49.000fichas que representava 1/3 da minha stack e aqui a dúvida só foi 1 fazer call e esperar que alguem vá por cima de mim ou fazer push e isolar logo ali. Como era um pot muito simpático e corria o risco de levar outro call resolvi fazer push de 150,000k.
todos foldaram.

o fradocas perguntou o que eu tinha e eu respondi que tinha um par ele disse entao deve ser mais alto que o meu pois eu tenho 66 :) eu disse depende, eu tenho AAd !!!

Aqui senti um vazio imenso, não tive premiuns pagaveis o torneio inteiro ( quero dizer com isso que tive uma vez KK mas quando raisei foldaram os 2 ), se ganhasse a mao passava para os 210.000 e ia para chip leader enfim...

passado 2 jogadas sou BB e um short vai allin de 24k. :) tenho Q5off mas ja tenho 8k lá pois sou BB vamos lá pagar mais 14k sou quase obrigado a não foldar.
ele tinha KT perdi a corrida mas senti que as coisas não me estavam a correr bem mesmo estando a jogar bem.
Para muitos de voçes o Q5off era instant fold mas meus amigos eu jogo para ganhar e vamos analisar estes pontos
1) se foldasse o short que tinha 24k ia ficar menos short com 8k da minha BB + 4k da sb + 5k das antes logo ia ficar com 41k.
2) tinha que colocar + 14k para um pot de 57k
3) ele estava utg+1 por isso podia / estava quase de certeza a frente mas podiam as minhas cartas estar vivas ( como afinal estavam ) e isso é um 60-40 na maior parte dos casos

Na jogada a seguir sou SB e estava com +-80k o fradocas no butao faz mini raise para 20k eu na sb faço call com A2paus a BB olha para nos e faz push allin, o fradocas pensa pensa e faz fold. Eu digo estas a fazer isso de uma forma muito light mesmo colocando o meu torneio em risco acredito que estou a frente e faço call

Depois veio a jogada que me custou o torneio, ou não, pois acho que devemos tirar sempre ilações de quando algo não corre como o esperado.

Um jogador donk, que estava a atrasar a mesa demorando imenso tempo para tomar decisoes, fez o teatrinho de sempre só que desta vez quando eu disse: " vou ver o meu jogo tens sempre monstros e decisões dificeis a tomar" ele ficou nervoso e ao foldar virou as cartas 84off. Eu resolvi pressiona-lo ainda mais dizendo hummm &%&$%#$% a perder tempo e betei 25k. Toda a gente foldou e o espanhol da BB resolveu dar call como sempre dava.

Este espanhol tinha 2 movimentos call na sua BB ou fora dela quando tinha jogo e apostava sempre no turn.

ha não disse mas eu tinha 33 uma coisa que normalmente nem jogo mesmo quando estou em MP nesta fase do torneio.

e eu por causa do outro idiota que mostrou o 84 resolvi apostar 40k para um pot de 60k ( 25k da minha bet inicial + 25 do call do espanhol + 4 da sb + 6 das antes ).

aqui sinceramente pensei que ele tivesse um mid pair ( 77 ou 66 ) nao se acreditando no 84 devido ao idiota nem no "meu" 9 ou over pair. Podia ter tambem 2 over.

no turn bate o A e eu faço o instant move de push all-in mas o dealer disse que ele falava primeiro e ele faz o push all-in que eu queria fazer. Aqui eu fico &%$&$%&$% e começo a pensar:
a) mas porque é que ele faz o push all-in se viu que eu ia fazer isso??? mas porque??? porque não checar e esperar que eu fizesse isso. Se eu tivesse jogo era isso que eu fazia.
b) o push all-in dele era de mais 40k... bem ele podia estar a fazer aquilo pensando que eu tinha falhado completamente o flop e o turn. O pot era de 220k( 60 pre-flop + 80 pos flop + 80 pos turn ) e probavelmente mesmo que ele tivesse um par eu ainda nao estaria morto pois ele de certeza que nao tinha trio.
c) nesta fase do torneio ter 64k ou ter 24k era igual as blinds tinham acabado de subir para 12k e eu ia ter que pagar dentro de 2 jogadas por isso ia ter que me mexer

por estas razoes resolvi dar o call
foi o vazio por completo quando vi que ele tinha A9off mas ainda nao estava morto. O river não ajudou e acabei por morrer!

Vou agora tecer mais algumas considerações em relação a esta jogada.
Se o idiota não tivesse mostrado o 84 eu probavelmente tinha checado depois de ele ter feito o mesmo no FLOP. Batia o A no turn ele ia betar e eu foldava facil e ficava com 95k. Sinto aqui que se joguei mal foi por ter jogado o par de 33, logo eu que detesto jogar pares baixos e sei como o fazer. A febre não é desculpa pois eu no segundo dia nem sequer a tive temperatura. Acho que foi Karma ele ter virado as cartas e tudo junto merdou o call de + 40k no turn podia explicar milhares de vezes que probavelmente quem ainda não percebeu ia continuar sem perceber.

Na jogada seguinte apanho JQ e vou all-in recebo call de JQ e meh passou de 24k para 32K vamoss

Na seguinte torno a ir all-in em UTG e desta vez dobro contra o senhor Abilio com o meu KJ contra o AQ dele com a Q a bater no flop e XXXX até ao river vamos que eu estava de volta com 70k.

Na jogada seguinte era BB e avisei que quem raisasse a minha blind ia levar com todos. Não consegui comprir o prometido pois tinha QToff e foram 3 gajos all-in.
E lá desci eu para as 56k ( 12k da BB mais 2k das antes ).

A proxima jogada foi a ultima jogada deste torneio. Acho que a joguei bem!!! Era SB na BB do ESMONE chip leader do torneio. UTG + UTG+1 + UTG+2 fizeram limp os outros sairam e eu vejo Q4off. O primeiro pensamento foi foldar e perder os 8k que já tinha metido em jogo mas começei a fazer as contas. O pot estava enorme 12k + 12k + 12k ( dos limps) + 14k das antes + 12k da BB + 6k meus = 68k foi então que resolvi colocar + 6k e aumentar o pot para 74k na espectativa que 2 coisas acontecessem:
A) O esmone fizesse push all-in das suas 350k
AA) todos foldassem eu eu fazia obviamente call para um pot de 74k + 42k que tinha para tras + 42k que o esmone tinha que cobrir = 158k
AAA) se alguem fizesse call ao all-in do esmone ia respeitar e tentava na proxima.
B) que o Esmone checasse e batesse a boi tipo 44x ou QQ4 LOL, mas tinha quase a certeza que ele com Ahigh ia fazer o push all-in

Dito e feito o Esmone faz o Push all-in todos foldam e eu call.
Antes de virar disse-lhe que ja sabia que ele ia fazer isso. O Esmone riu-se e disse que era obvio que fazia isso com Ahigh par ou dois bonecos. perguntei-lhe o que é que ele tinha e ele disse que tinha um par medio alto ao que eu respondi JJ ou TT? Ele virou JJ e eu sabia que ainda podia ser feliz! Era um 65% - 35%
Um Jxx no flop matou-me
outro J no turn fez com que saisse contra poker que é sempre giro.

Quando tudo começa mal e acaba pior!

Conclusão: Não me arrependo de nada, como sempre na minha vida! Sei que joguei para ganhar. Fui destemido !!! E nem quando perdi de AA vs 66 ( fez sequência ) perdi a cabeça. Claro que se tivesse ganho essa jogada não tenho duvidas que fazia FT na boa e que a pressão que poderia dar na mesa era diferente. Perdi um 80% - 20% mas também não me esqueço que no dia 1 ganhei uma de 35% - 65% com A5s vs KK. O Poker é assim as vezes da-mos outras levamos... It´s poker !

A um dia de jogar o BPPT no estoril, resolvi escrever aqui sobre quem me inspira quando vou jogar um torneio, a lenda Stu Unger. ( One day before the BPPT estoril I decided to write here about who inspires me when I play a tournament, the legend Stu Unger. )

Stu foi de 0 a milionário e de milionário a 0 para voltar de 0 a milionario e tornar a perder tudo. Stu foi o primeiro jogador a ganhar o WSOP main event duas vezes seguidas e mais tarde ainda ganhou outra. ( Stu went from 0 to millionaire and from millionaire to 0 to return to be a millionaire and losing everything again. Stu was the first player to win the WSOP main event twice and later he won another. )

Stu tinha um estilo desconcertante se tu betavas ele raisava, se tu fazias limp ele betava, as suas fichas estavam em constante movimente, stu foi o primeiro jogador agressivo de poker.

Stu tinha uma frase " qualquer um consegue ganhar um torneio, defender a sua vitória é que não é para qualquer um ", Stu Unger ganhou as WSOP em 2 anos seguidos, NUNCA nenhum outro jogador fez isso. ( Stu had a disconcerting style imho if you bet he would raise it, if you Limp he would bet, their chips were in constant motion, Stu was the first player to play aggressive poker. )

Stu vivia a vida nos limites, cara ou coroa, 50% - 50%, não se importava de ir sair com os amigos gastar rios de dinheiro só porque tinha... Doyle brunson conta uma história de uma pessoa que abordou os dois na rua e disse : " estou falido podem ajudar-me " stu colocou a mão ao bolso e deu uma nota de 100$ ao homem. Doyle virou-se para Stu e perguntou " Stu conheçes esse homem " Stu respondeu : " não, se o conhece-se dava-lhe 200$ ". ( Stu lived life to the limits, head or crown, 50% - 50%, he didn´t care to go out with friends and spend rivers of money only because he had ... Doyle Brunson tells a story of a person who approached the two on the street and said: "I'm broke can sombody help me" Stu put his hand to the pocket and gave a note of $ 100 to man. Doyle turned to Stu and said "Stu do you know this man " Stu replied: "no, if i knew him i would give him $ 200." )

A generosidade de Stu levou a que falsos amigos se aproveitassem dele e que ele ficasse sem dinheiro nenhum. Obviamente que a sua forma de vida, o consumo de cocaina não ajudaram e Stu que de 0 se tinha transformado em milionário tornou a voltar a zero. Stu era um gambler! ( The generosity of Stu led to false friends taking advantage of him and he was without any money. Obviously his way of life, the consumption of cocaine didn´t help him. Numa mesa de High Stakes Poker, um dos jogadores que estava lá resolveu perguntar aos outros quanto tempo é que eles achavam que Stu ia durar com esse estilo de vida. Começaram todos a dizer diversas idades, depois pararam pois aperceberam-se que está era uma aposta que nenhum deles queria ganhar. Stu aguentou-se, segundo os seus amigos mais chegados por causa da sua filha, pois queria acompanhar o seu crescimento. ( In a table of High Stakes Poker, one of the players who were there decided to ask the others how long they thought that Stu would last with that lifestyle. They began to say all different ages, then they stopped because they all realized that this was a bet that none of them wanted to win. Stu remain, according to his friends alive because of his daughter, to monitor their growth. )

Em 1997 Stu estava falido e completamente desgastado pelo uso de cocaína e nem tinha dinheiro para pagar os 10k para entrar no main event das WSOP. Foi aí que Stu encontrou um dos seus amigos de longa data, Billy Baxter, que lhe empresta-lhe os 10k para Stu ir jogar o torneio. ( In 1997 Stu was bankrupt and completely worn out by use of cocaine and had no money to pay the 10k to enter the main event of the WSOP. It was there that Stu found one of his friends of long standing, Billy Baxter, which lends him the 10k Stu to go play the tournament. )

A meio do primeiro dia Stu confessou a um amigo que o seu corpo não estava a conseguir acompanhar. Mas Stu era como um lobo no meio da capoeira e com a filha como inspiração ( Stu ligava-lhe, durante todos os dias a dizer, já só faltam 1000, já só faltam 500, 400 ... ) Stu consegue fazer história e ganhou pela 3 vez as WSOP.
( Halfway through the first day Stu confessed to a friend that his body was not keeping up. But Stu was like a wolf in the middle of the chicken and with his daughter as inspiration (Stu linking to it every day to say, only missing in 1000, only missing 500, 400 ...) Stu made history and he win by 3rd time the WSOP. )

Em vez de pagar os 10k que billy baxter lhe tinha emprestado Stu Unger resolveu dar metade do 1º premio ao amigo. ( Instead of paying the 10k that Billy Baxter had decided to borrow Stu Unger gave half of the 1st prize to his friend. )

No ano seguinte Stu estava falido outra vez e billy baxter ofereceu-se para pagar outra vez a entrada ao seu amigo mas Stu disse que estava cansado, o seu corpo já não consegui acompanhar o seu cerebro. Stu morreu 7 meses depois num hotel, com uma overdose. Um pessoa pode ter um ou dois vícios, Stu tinha todos os maus vícios. Obviamente que eu não queria vangloriar os se vícios mas a sua genialidade e generosidade. No jogo da vida a mão de Stu, estava dominada, tinha 0 outs. Stu Unger morreu dia 22 de Novembro de 1998. ( The following year Stu was broke again and Billy Baxter offered to pay once again the entry to his friend but Stu said he was tired, his body could no longer keep to his brain. Stu died 7 months later in a hotel with an overdose. A person can have one or two bad habits, Stu had all. Obviously I did not want to talk about his bad habits but i want to focus in the genius and his generosity. In the game of life of Stu's hand, was dominated, had 0 outs. Stu Unger died on 22 November 1998. )

REPORT from POKERSTARS SOLVERDE #3

well, I was feeling good about my poker and I went to the casino friday afternoon to play the satelite for the MainEvent, 1,100 euros buyin tournment.

The tournament is very sick imho, 30 euros rebuy to a 1100 euros tournment?
well, 110 players decided to play it.
I pickup my number and went to my table. I knew one or two players at the table from previous live tournaments but the arrived to the table wolfieAA who sat immediately to my right. I never played with him nor he with me live but the respect was mutual.

The tournament started... I ask for double rebuy and I jumped agaisnt one guy I knew, Ruben. Ruben is a young gun ( 18-20 years guy ) that went to a FT, in December, with me. Why I did it?

Simple. The table was a tight one ( that is the worst thing that can happend to you in a rebuy tournment ) and I knew he was NOT a tight one so I decided to jump @ him. Another important issue was that I knew He didn´t want to make to many rebuys so if I was aggressive I was going to get the edge over him.

A major error in these tournaments is :
- don´t have money to play it

How do you want to come to this type of tournament and expect to survive a rebuy and an add-on?

So sick!!!

well without any kind of premiuns I manage to get to the 5k-6k range and stay there till the end of the rebuy period. That was bad imo because there was guys that had 15k to 22k grrrr but I was the 2nd chip leader of the table behind wolfieAA that had 7k.

I made the addon and we got moved to other table. With the addon I was with 7.5k-8k meh.

WolfieAA went with me to the new table but now He had position over me. After some steals and other pots won without showdonw I manage to move up to the 15k.

Then something happened... I was on the CO, blinds were 1200 - 600 - ante 100, and wolfieAA decided to open raise in the utg+2 to 3200, other guy MP called and JOKA ( other good portuguese poker player decided to call @ CO-1. I felt he wanted to make a push but didn´t had the guts to do it so before I looked to my cards I decided to push all-in. When I looked I saw As Ks, Lmao, and I made my push all-in. Everyone fold and I won the 14,5k pot. Double up yes!!!

After that I was in the 20-30k range for a large period of time.

My tournment hand happened against wolfieAA. the blinds were 3k - 1.5k - antes 200
and I decide to make a open raise to 8k with AT everyone fold and wolfieAA push all-in for more 7k. well, If I fold I would be with 16k and the blinds were moving fast, if I called I would be left with 9k so I decide to call. He had 99 vs my At. A on the flop and I was with 45k or so.

I had a donk at my left, that was always saying that this was his 1st tournment, blablabla, so I was pushing and he was folding alot.

Being the chip leader of the table with 60k, and having the joka to my right made me make raises when there was no action till me. There was one I remember.

I made a 10k raise with 6s5s, blinds ( 4k -2k -ante 200 ) and the BB went allin for more 2k.

Mario pereira opend with a raise to 20k ( blinds 8k-4k ante 400 ), sonia on his right went all in ... she was very nervous, and felt her very weak I looked and saw TT and made a 4bet to 100k everyone fold and mario decided to call. 55k of my bet return to me and If i lost the pot I would be with 95k so no problem with that.

1st 2 guys already out and the prizes of the tournment were 6 entries to the main event the other 4 will get 220euros.
2nd if he fold he would had 60k
3rd I thought he was trying to steal and raising in position
4th I had the chips to do that
5th his range to call was AA, KK, QQ and probably AK

so there I was with 300k

after that play I decided to keep putting presure to the table.

The next player going out was my close friend vitor pinto aka Holigato. I was utg and I folded. utg+1 went all in for 5k, holigato on utg+2 went allin over him for 25k and everyone fold till gomez. he made a easy call because he already had put 12k because he was the BB and only got to put more 13k. If with any 2 that was easy with a PP that was even more easy.

After friday I was very confident to the pokerstars solverde #3. I arrived to the table and saw sonia from yesterday FT, and there was there one or two good players the others were bad imho. And that is the wrost thing that could happend because You can´t get no read on them.

Pocket Pair 88 or worst

Best to all!

Less than a week of Solverde # 3 decided to write here about pocket pairs 88 or worst.

There is so much information to give that I do not know where to start. I will try to keep it simple.

I leave aside the SNG, I leave out the cash games and I only going to focus on MTT (multi table tournaments).

I know how to play them perfectly but I paid a price too expensive because I learn that by making common mistakes but I think now I'm at the point. The low pair will make you win big at poker because you are @ a stage agaisnt AK vs yours 33 and the flop hits A38 rainbow and hardly the player who has the top pair / top kicker will leave without spending a few chips or all the chips if he doesnt smell trouble.

What I do if I caught a PP of 88 or less early in the tournament? The answer here depends on various factors. why is it so complex?

Many people just limp when they have one of these pairs, I think this may be the best option for certain table or even for mid stages with position but certainly not in all. Why?

First, let's imagine that we have 4 limps. Here we have 2 cases:
a) Making a raise in position to increase the pot so it hit the flop we have a EV+ and a larger pot;
b) Make a limp and keep it simple, kind of hit the flop ( set ) or doesn´t hit the flop and get out simple;

I think, in my humble opinion that we must be aggressive and when we should raise when we have position and limp when we do not have position ( if someone there decided to raise then we simple call and hope to hit the flop. This is Pot control all the way because you dont want to put alot of chips in the pot you know the odds the set hit the flop... ). However, even when we position if someone decided to make 3bet the best answer is to fold - easy. With a raise on our part we will eliminate hands like QJ or JT because they dont have the position the call (obviously you never can´t tell ... there donks that make easy call with these hands. Francisco´s rule nº1 respect the raiser if he have position on you and if he is not the bully of the table). Reducing the number of players we also reduce the range of their hands and we can always make a Cbet if the flop is a pair + one high card trying to win the pot right there.

When we have a PP 88 or worst you only want one thing - to get a set. Here many people makes a simple mistake they fell "satisfied" when a board go under his pair or they have one higher card on the flop. Error! Easy fold always.

Another problem that often occurs in stages mid-stages/final is to see people calling a all-in when they have a PP like the one we are talking about.

What is the best thing that could happen?
BEING IN A RACE AGAINST 2 HIGH CARDS
This is limit our game to a single factor: luck!
We are ahead if we go to 2 higher cards but do you like the odds? we can lose our whole or partial stack with this move.
Most of the time because we're dead against a higher PP.

The reverse does not apply ... If I go all-in with a PP of these?
The only advantage it has is that we are putting pressure, but my friends, if there´s a call you are fucked because you can go agaisnt 2 higher cards or a higher PP you already know the drill :)

The best solution in my view is, if you have stack, make a raise it probably going to be respected if not you can see the flop almost for free, but if someone re-raises you - yeah, you are right you can easy fold and wait for a better oportunity.

The all-in will only be acceptable if you are already short but if we are short we will probably receive a call from one that is not short with any 2 overcards. But here the situation is different, we are getting killed by the blinds and we need to make a move.

Another thing very important that we should give the importance it deserves is the stacks of our adversaries. Perhaps a raise may not be the best situation if there is one or more shorts to our right. Why?
These players can make a call or a raise easily with any two and we will not want to risk our stack agaisnt a QJs.
Finally another point which we must consider are the style of play of our players right. If they are tight, loose, aggressive or passive and analyze as many times this can help our decision to bet / fold.

Obviously there are more situations to speak, many hidden things in the game, however this should be the basis of how to play the PP under the 8th

the 1st hour I had the possibility to make 1 rebuy if I went to 0 chips. So I played lots of hands and with 15min to finish the tournment I was with 6500chips and I got 67s on the botton with 4 guys already limped ( blinds 100-50 ) and I decided to make a raise to 450 and I got 3 calls.

well no with 0 hands I caught KK in the BB on the last 5min of day 1 I recived a 6k raise from a spanish guy Utg+3 and i went all in ( 28k ) he had the same stack I had and he folded... Well I think this was my only mistake all night. I probably should only raise to 15k or 12k and then went all in but I was happy to win other pot without showdown... and it was a nice 10k pot
and finish the day on 12º place with 37k

DAY 2

I started to day playing only the players and the position because I didn´t had any kind of cards to play.

with 32k left on the BB a spanish guy I knew very well ( golfinho ) made a 6k raise. He had 60k left and I knew he was a good player imho... so I decided even without looking at my cards that I would push all in because with his stack he wouldn´t call with less than AK. yeah I think I would fold AQ... when my turn to look at the cards came I went to see my cards... K3 hearts ... I give 10 sec to think and pushed all in...
he thought ... count his stack... and fold showing AJoff
well I could only knock on the table but I decide to show my bluff
he went mad on me and after 3-4 plays he got busted...

I have 2 words for him... cmon m8 a good player like you shouldn´t get mad... it was a nice fold... I was playing tight that day with fold fold fold... you shouldn´t get mad ... I showed the hand because I wanted the table to think I was going to play verry loose and could get a nice return later with some kind of premium.

well my premium came KK on the button with everyone to fold till me...
I raised 10k with the blinds 3 - 1,5 ante 300 but the blinds fold

I was with 50k or so and playing a great poker ... I was not waiting for guys to bust to reach the money or to be at the FT.

then a new guy come to the table. Morpheus, other portuguese guy come to me and said that the new guy was a stealer and showed some bluffs and was raising alot. he also told me that he fold if re-raised and if he was weak.

I started friday playing the 30e rebuy tournment, and I should say thing went great for me during the rebuy period.
I started with a DOUBLE rebuy and only wanted to do other double rebuy plus the addon.
well I didn´t need to do it and I finish the rebuy period with 12k near the chip leader that had 16k.
I made one mistake to push all in with pocket 55 and I fell I need to improve my pocket pair play.
Right now I dont remember the some particular hand to tell here besides the 2 that cost me my tournment.
with a 4 I lost a big part of my chips without the 4 I lost the rest.

For the 1st time ever I went to a tournment with a strategy all planed. With new rules ( we could make a rebuy with we reach 0 chips plus one add on @ the finish of nivel two ) I was going to be ultra aggressive but this happend
I had KcQc and I raise 175 one guy called and segrob also called

because one player mp raised other co called and since I was on SB I fell that I shouldn´t raise because a) a could play it strongly after the flop b) if I raise I could have some AX call and a Ace could hit the flop so I decide to slow play.

then the table was closed and I went to other table with rugbywolf ( he was on my 1st table too ).
This new table was great. alot week players and only 3 guys I knew rugbywolf ( tight one and not to aggressive ), davidoff ( other tight player and not to aggressive ) and other young gun ( verry loose, that like to race and damm aggressive ). The others were old and didn´t knew nothing ( position or 3bet or cbet nothing ) so I was raising and getting pots. grrrrr once again the table was closed and I went to other table with 27k.
On this new table I had some good players milhomens, tonyL among others.
I was pushing tonyL alot and he was folding,etc... then something happend
rui milhomens already short went all in utg for 6k everyone fold till mea looked and saw KK and start thinking
then I push all in ( 32k total ) everyone folded to tonyl that start thinking and representing a good hand
I started to trash with tonyl but when I fell I got him where I wanted I look to him and said " tony I´m your friend fold that shit" he show me QQ and I realized he will call ( he had 27k ) so I fell sorry for him and since he was my friend I look him in the eyes and said "tony you could win but with would be pure luck imo" he realized I was damm strong and fold

I went to the casino and decided since I spend 480 on tournments till now and won 900 ( 3rd sng friday 200e + 500e from cash game + 200e from saturday sng ) I could play the highrollers event ( lol ) on Sunday. the 200+20e
good struture + good prize pool but I was tired because on saturday I was playing on the computer till 7:00am...

Start today the 1st Stage of the new season of Solverde Pokerstars Poker Season. It is the beginning of the Third Season of Circuit oldest landscape in the National Poker, which this year is sponsoring the largest online poker room on the World Pokerstars.
